Introduction

Recently, PJC Health & Safety Management Ltd has been supporting RIFS Ltd across a number of industrial flooring projects, providing practical, hands-on health and safety support to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current legislation.
Scope of Support
Our involvement has included:
- Preparation and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
- COSHH assessments for materials and substances used on site
- HAVS assessments and guidance on exposure management
- On-site liaison with clients and principal contractors
- Delivery of toolbox talks and workforce briefings
- Ongoing advice to ensure compliance with best practice and legal requirements

Approach
Rather than treating health and safety as a paperwork exercise, the focus has been on ensuring that documentation reflects the actual work being carried out on site.
This includes aligning RAMS with real working methods, ensuring operatives understand control measures, and supporting supervisors in maintaining standards throughout the project.
Outcome
This approach has helped RIFS Ltd to:
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety compliance
- Improve clarity and usability of site documentation
- Support smooth project delivery with minimal disruption
- Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to clients
Conclusion
Effective health and safety support is not about unnecessary complexity — it’s about providing clear, practical systems that work in real environments.
This project demonstrates how the right level of support can add value beyond compliance, helping businesses operate safely while maintaining productivity.
